Tips For International Students Coming To Florida

Be careful when you buy visitor health insurance and if it’s possible, plan your medical expenses in advance in order to stay in a good financial shape.

Being a student at the U.S. college or university is very exciting but challenging process. It includes so many different things to consider. One of them is to get the right visitor insurance.

Some students may argue that they are young and healthy and cannot get sick, but the reality is, anything can happen. While having fun, they could get into accidents or catch cold by simply sitting next to a sick person. Flu, cold and food poisoning are universal problems that most students are facing, and they are all could lead to other health complications.

If you want to be good student, you should get visitor health insurance right away. With the right visitor insurance you can concentrate on studying instead of being worried about paying huge medical bills.

What you need to know before buying visitor health insurance:

Coinsurance – the percentage of costs of a covered health care service you pay after you’ve paid your deductible.

Premium – is the amount of money that you must pay for an insurance policy (usually you pay it monthly).

Deductible – is the amount you pay for health care services before your health insurance begins to pay for your medical expenses.

Copay – is a payment defined in an insurance policy and you have to pay for it every time you get a medical service.

India Network Services is pleased to offer the following visitor insurance plans for students:

If you are age 17 and under with pre-existing conditions, the most popular choice is the $150,000 CHUBB Network Plan with the $1,500 Pre-Existing Deductible. Pre-existing medical coverage is $25,000. Members with good health can opt for CHUBB Network Plan for new problems and accidents in the next section or enroll in AXIS plan. Also AXIS Plan is a good choice – it is a fixed benefit plan with Pre-existing Conditions Coverage limited to Acute Onset of Pre-existing existing conditions. See Program page for more details.

If you are age 17 and under and do not have pre-existing conditions, the most popular choice is the CHUBB Network comprehensive Plan. This plan covers 80 percent of covered expenses up to policy maximum after $250 deductible. AXIS BasicCare plan is preferable among fixed benefit plans as it comes with few additional coverage that are not available in other plans.
